The Fraunhofer pilot plant centre is located in the mitz II extension to the Merseburg Innovation and Technology Centre in the grounds of Schkopau ValuePark.
The new mitz building was financed with a donation from public funds
(Gemeinschaftsaufgabe) for improvement of the regional economic structure.
The equipment of the pilot plant centre was paid for with donations from
the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the state of Saxony-Anhalt
and the Federal Ministry of Research and Technology (BMBF).
