The Institute of Applied Polymer Research's close co-operation with the Institute of Materials Mechanics, Halle, on the pilot plant centre at Schkopau represents a new level of quality in Fraunhofer research co-operation.
This type of co-operation, with direct technical and personal
coordination and contact, exceeds by far the network structures
(institutional or thematic alliances) previously existing within
the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
